Frijoles & Frescas Grilled Tacos is a Mexican restaurant and catering spot tucked into a busy retail area on W Azure Dr in Las Vegas, offering a mix of traditional and comfort Mexican fare with a focus on tacos and fresh-flavored dishes. This place is about straightforward, flavorful meals served in a clean, casual environment where locals and visitors can grab either a quick bite or a more relaxed meal without fuss.

The atmosphere inside is welcoming and well-kept, with friendly staff who help keep things moving smoothly, even when ordering larger to-go meals. The setting doesn’t feel formal or trendy but instead practical and neat, making it a comfortable stop for families, workers on lunch breaks, or anyone craving authentic Mexican dishes made fresh. It’s especially handy for those who appreciate well-portioned plates that won’t break the bank.

Frijoles & Frescas’ menu leans heavily into classic taco options—Al Pastor, Carnitas, Shrimp Taco—along with staples like elote (Mexican street corn) and hearty burritos. They also have some lighter or veggie-friendly choices like a kale salad and veggie quesadilla, plus refreshing house-made aguas frescas including fruity blends like strawberry-pineapple and a memorable chia seed lemonade. If you’re traveling with kids, the junior menu provides smaller quesadillas and burritos that are simple and satisfying.

Locals seem to enjoy coming here repeatedly because the food is consistent and reliably seasoned, with some dishes standing out more than others depending on personal taste, like the carne asada platter or the shrimp cocktail. The guacamole and chips are a popular pairing, and many find the Mexican Coke a nostalgic touch that complements the meal well. The preparation strikes a balance between approachable homestyle flavors and something a bit fresh and bright, especially in their ceviches and fruit beverages.

This spot is best appreciated during the day or early evening when the crowd is lighter, letting you relax or order to go without hassle. It’s a solid choice for a casual meal that delivers on flavor and comfort—a place where you don’t expect much flair but find dependable, honest food.

This place is one of our favorite places to eat! As many times as we have been here I keep forgetting to leave a review. We have tried almost everything on the menu and my favorites are the carne asada platter, carne asada tostada, elote and strawberry/pineapple fresca! The food is consistent and a good place to get a meal for a decent price. My husband likes their chicken taco combo and quesadillas. It can get busy on Friday night so we try to get there early. This establishment is closed on Sunday so make sure you come during the week or Saturday. You can order and take out as well. Make sure you try their salsas as they are pretty tasty. Plenty of frescas to choose from and also ask for the bean choices. Don't worry about parking as there is plenty of spaces.

Placed a large to-go order on a Thursday late afternoon. Restaurant was clean & welcoming. Service was friendly & helpful. It was quiet, so my wait was maybe 15 minutes. Had to try both ceviches, tongue tacos, chicken burritos, & a quesadilla (not everyone was willing to try tongue). The fish & shrimp ceviches were fresh & flavorful. The chicken & tongue were seasoned & cooked perfectly. Absolutely worth more visits.

Fist time on this restaurant, very clean, well kept and organized. Staff is very friendly and kind. I ordered the shrimp cocktail and was good, not the kind you'll get on a upscale Mexican restaurant but still very tasty and well prepared. I look at other dishes and seemed really good, for sure will be back to try more of their food. The fruit juices are really good, great option instead of high calories sodas. Overall good place for a quick bite.

Delicious food. The cucumber Fresca was too sweet for my taste. Other than that… it really was a tasty and yummy experience. We had the chicken nachos with everything and the al pastor burrito and chips and salsa.

Excellent tacos! It's in a strip mall (this is Vegas - what *isn't* in a strip mall?), and is big, bright, cheery, with lots of seating. And boy howdy, are the tacos good. Note, when I say "good", I don't mean in the "generalized tacos" sense - these are just plain excellent tacos that would be at home in a CDMX corner. So yeah, enjoy these!
